Good news , we can now open, Tour will resume from Tuesday 9th Nov 2021.

The Chief Health Officer’s Directions have this evening been updated to reflect the changes in restrictions that have come into effect across Victoria from 6pm tonight, Friday 29 October 2021.
Of particular note is a significant change to tours and transport.
The table that exists within the Roadmap with the density quotients is still in force, however, according to the Open Premises Directions (No 3), the density quotients do not apply to-
Operators of premises used for tourism services if the tourism services are provided in:
(a) a vehicle or aircraft; or
(b) a cruise ship, if the operator does not permit the total number of patrons on the vessel to exceed 99.
You can see this outlined in Clause 34 Tours and transport, Exception — tour transport, of the Open Premises Directions (No 3).
Tours and tour transport are open if everyone present is fully vaccinated.

Unfortunately after reading the fine print in the latest roadmap, we are unable to open at present due to the density regulation. (DQ4)
At this stage we are now hopefully we be able to operate from Thursday 25th November 2021

We are planning to reopen on Monday 8th November. Our premier has giving Victoria a roadmap out of lockdown and if it all goes to plan we will be open on Monday 8th November for a first tour since the latest lockdown. Our online booking is open and you are able to book your next tour now, so please plan you next tour with Around And About.

To all those out there who still haven’t got around to being vaccinated yet for Covid. Please make the effort to go and get it done ASAP. The vaccines are safe effective and you will be doing your bit to not only protect yourself but every other person that you come in contact with. We are all sick of lockdown and we are not coming out of lockdown till enough people get jabbed. GET INFORMED GET VACINATED!!!

We where hoping that this current lockdown was only going to last for a few weeks, however with the latest announcement yesterday from our Premier this is not the case. We are in lock down for at least another 8 weeks. Tourism always the last sector to reopen after lockdown.

We have our COVID-19 -19 Safety Plan, which is now in operation. The details of our plan will change as the local government updates the rules and regulations.
• Hand sanitizer will be available on the vehicles.
• Vehicles will be disinfected and cleaned after every tour. High touch areas will be sprayed a few times a day with disinfectant.
• Masks currently still need to be worn.

Please note that availability for some attractions might not be available due to covid limitations, so please get your customers to book as far in advance as possible

We Are OPEN

November 11th 2020

Unfortunately not good news, as a tour operator, we are still subject to only trips of up to 30 minutes. At this stage it looks like this will carry over to the final stage. This means we are only allow to operate once we reach COVID-19 normal. We expect this date to be around 7th December. We are now planning to reinstate tours from Friday 11th December, subject to Government restrictions being eased.
Unfortunately we are unable to operate at this time, apologies for any inconvenience caused. Hope to see you in the future.

Transport vehicles
Enclosed tour vehicles (e.g. motor vehicle, bus/coach, horse driven wagon, plane or helicopter) that critically support the primary outdoor offering of the tourism facility.
Travel times in enclosed vehicles are restricted to a duration of 30 minutes:
• Smaller enclosed tour vehicles (where physical distancing of 1.5 metres is not possible) are allow ed as per the private gathering limit* (household plus 2 people and their dependants).
• Larger enclosed tour vehicles (where physical distancing of 1.5 metres is possible) are allow ed as per the public gathering limit* (up to 10 people).
• Open air vehicles (e.g. open air boat) are allow ed to operate, in groups in line w with public gathering limits* (up to 10 people). Vehicles must be suitable to ensure members of the public are reasonably capable of maintaining a distance of 1.5 metres from each other.
• Self-drive (e.g. hire cars) enclosed vehicles are allow ed as per the private gathering limit* (household plus 2 people and their dependents)

Good News !!!

We are reopening on Monday 9th November with restrictions.

The current Victoria Rules allow us to operate a private tour. The private group may consist of the following:-

• 1 household plus 2 other Adults and their dependants
• Group maximum size is 10 passengers.

Now is the perfect time for us to show your group what Victoria has to offer. Enjoy the best attractions in Victoria without all the overseas and interstate crowds. Victoria is your own backyard waiting to be discovered. Email us to customise a trip for your group.

A day with the dolphins. Used Around and About to take our office to spend a day with the dolphins and seals for the second time. We had an amazing time and was nice to have someone drive us. Will definitely use the service again.

Great ocean drive. As first time visitors to Melbourne we wanted to experience the “Great Ocean Drive” – we were so lucky that we chose Walter’s 1 day tour !! We have two young children and he made it so exciting for them. Looking for kangaroos on the golf course and searching for koalas in the trees. Even with rain on and off during the day we always felt safe with Walter driving along the bends. Thanks for giving us such wonderful memories of the beautiful landscape!!
