The Murray River
Travelling north east of Melbourne, we travel alongside the Murray River
(one of Australia longest navigable rivers) stopping at some of the interesting
towns on the way. The Murray River is a major source for water to
the area. The river stretches for 2700 km forming most of the border
between Victoria and NSW.
We
will stay over at the resort town of Mildura (with plenty of accommodation
options). This area is well known for its fruit orchards,
vineyards, magnificent forest of red gum, bird &
wildlife, and relaxing riverboat cruises.
